A fishing town on Brazil's northeast corner, ninety minutes up the coast from Natal, Gostoso has been a word-of-mouth favorite among Brazilian kiters and windsurfers for years. It has one sandy main street and steady trade winds for much of the year. The airport down the road is what is changing.
Natal's airport, run by Zurich Airport Group since February 2024, handled about 1.39 million passengers in the first half of 2026, with international traffic up 92 percent year on year to just over 100,000. Its international links include Lisbon, Buenos Aires and a seasonal Montevideo service.
Qualifying urban real-estate investment from R$700,000 in Brazil's Northeast may support a residence application under programme rules.
